The ZY-NPY5600 Microcomputer-Controlled Bursting Strength Tester is a specialized instrument designed to measure the bursting strength of materials such as paper, paperboard, and single- and multi-layer corrugated board. It is also suitable for testing the bursting strength of non-paper materials such as silk, cotton fabric, copper foil, and aluminum foil.

How it works:

Using a pneumatic clamping method, the specimen is placed on an elastic rubber membrane and secured with a specimen clamp. Pressure is then applied uniformly, causing the specimen and the membrane to bulge freely together until the specimen ruptures. The specimen’s burst strength is the maximum pressure applied.
